About the Science Library
The Science Library is located in the Thad Cochran Research Center. The chemistry and pharmacy collections are available here. All other science collections are in the Main Library. The Science Library provides an inviting environment for students, faculty, staff and researchers.
The library is fully wired to allow internet access for laptop computers. Wireless service is available.
One accessible workstation is located inside the entrance to the library. It is wheelchair accessible and is loaded with software for vision and hearing impaired patrons.
The combined Chemistry and Pharmacy collections contain over 65,000 volumes and receive approximately 450 journals and standing order serials, including online subscriptions to Medline, International Pharmaceutical Abstracts, Web of Knowledge, and SciFinder Scholar.
Three librarians and one full-time staff are available to help users with library research and finding materials. Services available include reference, circulation, reserve, photocopy, and bibliographic instruction and assistance. Tours of the library and library instruction to classes may be scheduled with librarian Buffy Choinski. For more information, call 915-7910.
