The Independence Standards Board (ISB) was the private sector standard-setting body governing the independence of auditors from their public company clients. The ISBwas dissolved on July 31, 2001. The AICPA is currently maintaining access to some ISB standards, interpretations, etc. to auditors of public companies and others concerned with auditor independence matters.
