Are you looking for a sound recording of music by a particular
composer?
Search for sound recordings using the same methods you use to search
for books. Search results will list include books, sound recordings,
and scores. You will need to modify or limit your search results to
display only the sound recordings. The "limit/sort search"
or "modify search" functions can only limit to a specific
sound recording format. You cannot limit to include all sound recording
formats. If you want to list just the CDs, choose "compact disc."
If you want to list all available sound recordings, you will have to
limit to one category at a time and keep returning to the "limit
search" screen.
By Keyword
Searches for words in titles, authors, subjects, or notes.
You can limit by language,
material type, year, and location
Example: Johannes
Brahms
By Author
Searches using the artists' name as author.
Example: Brahms,
Johannes
Are you looking for a sound recording of a specific opera,
symphony, or other work?
By Title:
Searches for the specific title you enter. Leave off articles (such
as the word "the") that come at the beginning of titles.
This pertains to foreign articles as well, such as "der,"
"la," "das," "los," etc.
Example: Traviata
Search Tip:
In the Author and Subject searches put the composer's last name first.
If you get no results in any of the searches above, check to make
sure you are spelling the composer's name correctly. |
