ELECTRONIC RESOURCES America: History & Life - Contains abstracts of articles and citations to book/media reviews and dissertations of interest to students and scholars of United States and Canadian history. Contemporary Women's Issues - Provides full text access to global information on women in over 150 countries. Indexes books, journals, newsletters, research reports from non-profit groups, government and international agencies, and fact sheets. Includes links to 1,506 full text titles. ERIC (EBSCOhost) - Provides citations and abstract information from over 750 educational journals and related documents from the Educational Resource Information Center and educational symposium report literature dating back to 1967. Historical Abstracts - Contains abstracts of articles and citations to books and dissertations of interest to researchers of the history of the world from 1450 to the present. MEDLINE - (EBSCOhost). A comprehensive medical database to 3, 200 international journals in clinical and research biomedicine produced by the National Library of Medicine. MLA International Bibliography - (EBSCOhost). Covers journal articles, monographs, dissertations and other materials on literature, language linguistics and folklore. PAIS International - Includes citations and summaries to journal articles, book chapters, and etc. on economic issues, governmental documents, political issues, public affairs and social issues. PsycINFO - (EBSCOhost). Provides indexing and abstracts for over one million articles in 1,500 journals from over 50 countries provided by the American Psychological Association. Also includes abstracts for dissertations, books and book chapters ranging in date from 1984 to the present. Women Writer's Online - Full text access to text by pre-Victorian women writers from 1400 to 1850.

A full-text database spanning academic disciplines with coverage of popular press and scholarly publications, including peer-reviewed journals. Lexis Nexis - Provides access to a wide range of business, news, legal and reference information. World Cat - Over 36 million records of any type of material (mostly books) cataloged by OCLC member libraries. Includes manuscripts written as early as the 11th century.

The site contains a listing of comprehensive sites, discussion lists, media, directories and search engines, diversity resources, libraries, archives, library schools and pathfinders.
Center for Women and Information Technology The Center for Women and Information Technology was established at the University of Maryland Baltimore County in July, 1998. It seeks to address and enhance our understanding of the relationship between gender and Information technology. The Center has a three-fold mission: 1. to encourage more women and girls to prepare for careers and become leaders in information technology. 2. to communicate information related to the richness and breadth of women's lifes, concerns, and possibilities using technology. 3. to foster research concerning gender and information technology.
Gifts of Speech is dedicated to preserving and creating access to speeches by influential contemporary, women from around the world. The idea for the project originated in 1989.
The Sarah Isom Center for Women's Studies was established at The University of Mississippi in 1981 to address the changing roles and expectations of women students, faculty and staff. The Center is named for Sarah McGhee Isom, an Oxford native who became the first female university instructor in the South when she joined the Ole Miss faculty in 1885. Sarah Isom Center for Women has a threefold mission: curriculum development, programming, and research on women/ women's issues. Courses are offered through the Center and in coordination with other departments. Regular programs include a brown bag lunch lecture series. Research focuses primarily on Southern women.
