Library Newsletters

journalism newsletterYou probably know that the library’s collections are generally organized by subject. You may even know that every department has a subject librarian dedicated to maintaining each subject area. For example, the Family and Consumer Science subject librarian, Melissa Dennis, is responsible for the periodicals and books associated with this subject.

But how do you know when something new comes in for this subject? Or if a journal was canceled? Or if there is going to be a new event or exhibit in the library that may interest you? Wouldn’t it be nice to have one place to find out all of these things and more? The library has considered these questions and taken action to help its users.

Look no further, because subject librarians are now producing electronic newsletters!

Library newsletters, accessible in PDF format, are emailed to faculty, staff and students at the beginning of the fall and spring semesters. Newsletters are available in almost every subject, from Art to Women’s Studies. Below is a full list of the newsletters available.

Archives for the newsletters are kept on individual subject guide pages. Please read your newsletter and let your subject librarian know what you think. We are always open to suggestions and ideas.

There are a lot of cool things happening in your section this semester in the library, so reading over your newsletter will keep you up to date!
