An education in Geology or Geological Engineering prepares you for a variety of careers in exciting fields, ranging from natural resource extraction to environmental law. The Department of Geology and Geological Engineering faculty offer you to the opportunity to join an energetic group of students that are preparing for challenging and rewarding careers as Geologists or Geological Engineers. One of the things that I find most notable from my discussions with Geologists and Geological Engineers is the number of them that are still working in the field and enjoying their career choice.
The demand for our graduates continues to be high and the salaries continue to be high. While the job market is doing well in the oil and gas and mining industries, the demand for Geologists and Geological Engineers in the environmental and geotechnical industries is also very high.
