Directions to the Department

Should you decide to visit the Department, please contact us prior to your visit. The following are directions from the closest metropolitan areas.

From Memphis, TN to Ole Miss via I-55

  • Take I-55 south for 63 miles

  • Take the Batesville/Oxford exit off I-55. Merge onto MS-6 and proceed east toward Oxford, Mississippi, for 26 miles.

  • Once in Oxford, take the third exit, Old Taylor Road, and turn left onto Campus.

  • Follow the directions below once you are on Campus.

From Memphis, TN to Ole Miss via Hwy 78

  • Take US-78 for 52 miles.

  • Exit US-78 at the Holly Springs/Oxford exit.

  • From Holly Springs, take MS-7 south for 31 miles.

  • Once in Oxford, take the fourth exit onto MS-6 and proceed west.

  • Take the second exit, Old Taylor Road, and turn right onto campus.

  • Follow the directions below once you are on Campus.

From Jackson, MS to Ole Miss

  • Take I-55 north for 150 miles.

  • Take the Batesville/Oxford exit off I-55. Proceed east on MS-6 toward Oxford, Mississippi, for 26 miles.

  • Once in Oxford, take the third exit, Old Taylor Road, and turn left onto Campus.

  • Follow the directions below once you are on Campus.

From Tupelo, MS to Ole Miss

  • Take MS-6 west for 53 miles.

  • Once in Oxford, take the sixth exit, Old Taylor Road, and turn right onto Campus.

  • Follow the directions below once you are on Campus.

Once you are on Campus:

  • Go north on Old Taylor Road past the roundabout until the end of the street at University Avenue.

  • Turn left onto University Avenue.

  • Proceed through the 4-way stop.

  • Visitor parking is allowed on either side of University Avenue past the 4-way stop anywhere between white stripes on the street near the curbs.
    Visitor parking is not allowed on the Circle at the end of University Avenue. Do not park beyond or between yellow stripes on the street.

  • After parking, walk west towards the Circle and take the loop to the left. Carrier Hall is on the south side of the Circle. Please reference this image.

  • The department offices are in Carrier Hall, room 118. Enter the front of the building, turn right and go to the end of the hall. The offices are behind a glass door.
