About Us
Designed by Cary Middlecoff, the Ole Miss Golf Course opened in 1973. Facilities include an 18 hole golf course, driving range, putting and chipping greens, Pro Shop, and dressing rooms. The Ole Miss Golf Course falls under the umbrella of the Landscape Services Department at the University. In addition to the Golf Course, Landscape Services is responsible for maintaining all campus grounds and management of the University-Oxford Airport. Extensive renovation of the golf course was completed in 2008. Under the design direction of architech Nathan Crace the course has been transformed into one of the premier golfing destinations in Mississippi. The renovation of the course included rebuilding all 18 green complexes to USGA specifications and crowned with a superior Tif-Eagle putting surface. All fairways received a complete makeover utilizing 419 Bermuda grass. Twenty new sand bunkers and numerous grass bunkers add to the beauty and challenge of the course. The course offers new Club Car electric golf carts and new cart paths throughout the facility. The renovation culminated with the total remodeling of the Pro Shop which includes a full service grill, catering service, and a full stock of golf equipment.
