Programs requiring GRE:
Most programs require the GRE including our new programs; Master's in Social Work, Master's in Criminal Justice, and Master's in Education in Literacy Education.

The exceptions are listed below.

Programs accepting the GRE or GMAT:
Master of Arts - Economics
Doctor of Philosophy - Economics
Doctor of Philosophy - Business Administration - All areas
Master of Science - Pharmaceutical Sciences - Pharmacy Administration
Doctor of Philosophy - Pharmacy Administration

Programs requiring the GMAT:
Master of Accountancy
Master of Taxation
Master of Business Administration
Doctor of Philosophy - Accountancy

*Note: Beginning Spring 2009 the GRE is required for the all of the School of Education programs .

Programs requiring the Praxis I and Praxis II:

Master of Arts - Curriculum & Instruction- Teacher Corps
Master of Education - Curriculum & Instruction - All Areas
Specialist in Education - Curriculum & Instruction - All Areas
Doctor of Education - Education - Elementary
Doctor of Philosophy - Education - Secondary Education
(Note: The GRE is required for the Master of Arts - Curriculum & Instruction - TESOL emphasis and the Ph.D. in Education - Secondary Education and TESOL emphases, whereas other Education programs require the Praxis I and II.)

How to have your score sent to UM. To send your score to the University of Mississippi, make sure to select the school name or code 1840 when you begin to take your exam. The GRE will allow up to four schools to receive your score, while the GMAT allows five and PRAXIS will allow for three.

To order additional scores: You may order additional scores from GRE by phone (1-888-473-7267). There is a US $6 service fee per call and a US $15 fee for each score recipient. To request more than 8 score recipients, please call again. For the GMAT, go on line at www.mba.com and click on Take the GMAT to register and then the appropriate on line form to request this information to be sent. The cost to have GMAT scores sent to additional schools is $28.00 each.

You may request that ETS send your PRAXIS scores by phone (1-800-772-9476) and pay by credit card. The fee per score recipient is $30. A customer service representative will take your information, and your additional score report will be issued within 10 working days of your call. You will automatically receive a copy of your score report confirming it was sent.
