Dr. Barbara Howard Knox is a native of New Albany, MS. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biological Sciences and Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from The University of Mississippi. She also earned a Education Specialist Degree in Administration and Supervision from Middle Tennessee State University and a Doctorate of Education in Administration and Supervision from Tennessee State University.
Previous employment at The University of Mississippi includes Senior Research Technician in the Research Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences and graduate student employment in the Telecommunications Resource Center. Currently she serves as Site Coordinator for the Alliance for Graduate Education in Mississippi and is a member of the Black Alumni Advisory Board.
Dr. Knox is married to Aaron Knox and they have two children, Charity and A.J. She believes that to whom much is given, much is required (Luke 12:48); and everyday she strives to bring glory to God by helping others.
