If you will be traveling overseas and need to renew your visa, NAFSA the Association of International Educators has advised that international students and scholars apply for visa renewals as far in advance of January 1 as possible. This is to avoid potential problems arising from the so-called Y2K bug.
All new international students who were not able to attend any one of the six mandatory orientation sessions must come to the Office of International Programs to watch the video-tape of the session(s). Please allow at least 45 minutes to watch each video. We recommend that you watch no more than two videos in one sitting.
You need to bring a complete application form, your I-20 or IAP-66, and your passport. Application forms are available in the office.
A lot of your social security problems can be solved over the phone. You can call the Tupelo office at 662 842 6582 or fax them at 662 841 2895.
All International Students, Scholars and their families and the Students, Faculty and Staff affiliated with the Croft Institute for International Studies are invited to share an afternoon in Avent Park on Sunday, October 24th from 4:00-6:00p.m. A Potluck is a meal in which everyone brings a dish to share that would serve six to eight people.
