Heidi Kempt-Chew has graciously volunteered to work with the World Without Borders program. This program introduces international students to local families.
If you are interested in joining the program, stop by and see Heidi on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons in OIP. The deadline for application is Thursday, September 2, 1999.
The Office of International Programs at the University of Mississippi offers this exciting opportunity for Oxford area residents and international students to build relationships and learn about each other's culture.
The American host and the international student would meet once a month for shared activities such as shopping, having dinner together, attending a football game together, or simply visiting over a cup of coffee.
The program will begin on September 9, 1999 with a welcome/orientation meeting where participants will meet their partners, receive help on how to get started, and have time for fun and fellowship. If you are interested, contact Heidi Kempt-Chew, (phone: 915-7404; email:chewbacca@watervalley.net) or stop by the Office of International Programs to pick up an application.
