Renew Visas before Y2K
If you will be traveling overseas and need to renew your visa, NAFSA the Association of International Educators has advised that international students and scholars apply for visa renewals as far in advance of January 1 as possible. This is to avoid potential problems arising from the so-called Y2K bug.
You can access more information on the State Department's Y2K policy by viewing the department's web site at
http://travel.state.gov/y2kca.html.

Mandatory Orientation Session Videos
Just a reminder that all new enrollees for the Fall 1999 semester were required to attend six mandatory orientation sessions.  If you did not attend one or more of these sessions, you must come to the Office of
International Programs to watch the video-taped recordings of the sessions you missed. The deadline to watch the videos of any missed sessions is December 3, 1999.  After that date, a HOLD will be placed on your school record.
