The Social Security Administration is coming to the Office of International Programs on Monday, November 15th, 1999 from 9:00a.m. to 11:00a.m. The Social Security Office will not be in the Oxford City Hall on November 11th 1999 as announced earlier.If you don't have a social security number, you need to bring a complete application form, your I-20 or IAP-66, and your passport. Application forms are available in the office.

Applications for International Undergraduate Scholarships for the Spring 2000 semester are available in the Office of International Programs. These scholarships are awarded to international undergraduate students of merit who have demonstrated outstanding academic achievements and financial need.Scholarships will be awarded for the Spring 2000 semester only. Students may reapply for Fall 2000 semester scholarships next spring. The Office of International Programs must receive all scholarship applications by 5 pm, November 12, 1999. Scholarship recipients will be notified before the end of the Fall 1999 semester.
If you will be traveling overseas and need to renew your visa, NAFSA the Association of International Educators has advised that international students and scholars apply for visa renewals as far in advance of January 1 as possible. This is to avoid potential problems arising from the so-called Y2K bug.
Just a reminder that all new enrollees for the Fall 1999 semester were required to attend six mandatory orientation sessions. If you did not attend one or more of these sessions, you must come to the Office of
International Programs to watch the video-taped recordings of the sessions you missed. The deadline to watch the videos of any missed sessions is December 3, 1999. After that date, a HOLD will be placed on your school record.
You need to bring a complete application form, your I-20 or IAP-66, and your passport. Application forms are available in the office.
