This week we have another reminder about tax filing assistance.  Please read carefully, there is new information.
 
The Beta Alpha Psi Accounting Honorary Society will be providing free tax filing assistance to international students of Ole Miss on the second floor of Conner Hall. Students interested in this service should observe the following schedule:

March 28, 5:00 - 6:30 P.M. (Students from China & India ONLY)
March 28, 6:30 - 8:00 P.M. (Students from Malaysia, South Korea, and Dominica ONLY)
April 11, 5:00 - 8:00 P.M. (Students from all other countries)

Students should be sure to bring any of their forms W-2, 1099, and/or 1042S. Also, bring along your passport and visa information.  Without them, the volunteers will not be able to assist you with your taxes. Please remember that this assistance is strictly voluntary and not a professional tax filing service. Due to the generosity of the members of Beta Alpha Psi Honorary Society, this assistance is being provided to students by volunteers from the organization.  Tax filing forms 8343 (required of all internationals), 1040 NR, 1040 EZ, and State Forms will be provided.  If your tax filing situation requires that you submit another form or you have more serious tax filing problems, students may need to seek the advice of a professional.   In addition please remember that ALL international students and their dependents must file tax returns, whether they have worked or not.  This includes children and infants.  Please contact Jason Borders at the Office of International Programs (232-7404 or cborders@olemiss.edu) if you have any questions.
