Reminder about Immigration Rules

a.)  International students in F-1 or J-1 status are required to be registered as full-time students:  12 hours for undergraduates and 9 hours for graduates.  If you are registered for less than the stated hours, and have not spoken with Dr. Hertko or Tanja Owen please contact the Office of International Programs as soon as possible and make an appointment to see either Dr. Hertko or Tanja Owen.

b.) The US Immigration Service allows international students in F-1 and J-1 status to work on-campus under the following guidelines:  20 hours per week when school is in session and full-time during school holidays/vacations.  It is your responsibility to follow these guidelines and not work more than what is allowed by Immigration or you will loose your student status.  If you have any questions, contact the Office of International Programs.
