The Office of Information Technology at the University of Mississippi administers a 110-concurrent user Network License for SPSS 15.0 for Windows (Basic, Regression, and Avanced Modules only). Under this license, SPSS 15.0 for Windows may be installed on any University-owned computer, on any campus of The University of Mississippi, but only 110 users will be able to run the software at any one time. Your Windows computer will need to be connected to the network in order to for you to access the software. When you launch SPSS on your local computer, it will "check out" a license from the license server in the Office of Information Technlogy. If the network is down, or if the license manager is down, or if the 110-concurrent user limit has been reached, you will be temporarily unable to access SPSS on your computer. In the event that we do hit the 110-user limit, priority access will be given to employees and labs of those departments who are contributing towards the yearly maintenance fees for SPSS. Contributing departments may also "check out" up to one license each, for limited periods of time, to allow off-network access. If your department is not contributing, and would like to, email assist at olemiss.edu.
If you are a WebID-authenticaed University of Mississippi employee, you may access these instructions to download, install, and run SPSS 15 on your local Windows computer.
