UM Web Project

The University of Mississippi Web site is directed by the UM Web Planning Committee. Please send your comments and suggestions to web@olemiss.edu.

Web pages at this site are designed to be accessible to all, and may be viewed in a reasonable manner in any current browser, including the Lynx text-mode browser.

The pages are best viewed in up-to-date versions of Microsoft Internet Explorer,Firefox, Netscape or Safari at a minimum resolution of 800x600 pixels. The site will work in Netscape Communicator 4.7 and iCab, but there will be some differences in appearance.

Current access statistics are available at http://www.olemiss.edu/awstats/awstats.pl. (Note that it may take a minute for the full results to display.) A graph showing Fall 1997 - February 1999 accesses is also available.

An e-mail based discussion list, umweb-l, is available for anyone interested in discussing topics related to UM Web or Web publishing.

For Authors of Individual Web Pages

The UM Appropriate Use Policy for Computers and Networks provides guidelines for individual Web pages.

This policy prohibits the use of University insignia or logos on individual Web pages; however, certain images are available for inclusion on individual Web pages and student organization Web pages.
