The Ole Miss j-department offers many chances for students to work on publications and broadcast venues in order to hone their skills that will be later used in the job market. Outside of the classroom, Ole Miss Journalism students have the chance to work on departmental media ranging from newscasts to magazines to newspapers. Follow the links below to not only explore the many areas in which Journalism students use the skills learned in the classroom to create high-quality media for the Ole Miss and Oxford area, but to also see how our faculty and staff are adding to the field of journalism across the state of Mississippi and the country.
Over the last two years, the j-department has grown its M family of media products to include a 68-page magazine, an online news magazine, a video channel and more. As our products are constantly expanding and reaching new audiences, the faculty and staff of the j-department never lose sight that students are the force behind all we do. All media outlets produced by the j-department are student produced along side our knowledgable faculty who guide them in their specific areas of expertise.
In this section we explain our family of publications and invite you to take part in them as well.
Please note: If you have any questions, comments or recommendations about the products we create here at the Ole Miss j-department, please feel free to e-mail us here so that we can make the work our students create the best possible media we can.
