Mississippi Scholastic Press Association

The Mississippi Scholastic Press Association is housed at the Ole Miss department of journalism and exists to support, promote and nurture journalism in a high school setting through workshops, competitions, critiques, information and advice.

MSPA membership is open to any Mississippi school that has a newspaper, yearbook, literary magazine and/or journalism class.

Each year the MSPA holds competitions, workshops and conferences that focus on writing, reporting, layout and design and various other topics. For more information contact the department of journalism or the Director of the MSPA Beth Fitts.
