The Mississippi Scholastic Press Association is housed at the Ole Miss department of journalism and exists to support, promote and nurture journalism in a high school setting through workshops, competitions, critiques, information and advice. MSPA membership is open to any Mississippi school that has a newspaper, yearbook, literary magazine and/or journalism class. Each year the MSPA holds competitions, workshops and conferences that focus on writing, reporting, layout and design and various other topics.
