College is many things, and here at the Ole Miss j-department we want our students to receive a quality education while experiencing all the things that college life has to offer. From academics to everything else that college brings we have you covered.

As we have mentioned the j-department at Ole Miss is changing. We are growing, we are expanding and we are improving nearly every aspect of our program. Undergraduate and graduate students alike have human and technological resources available to them to help make their years in the j-department as educational and exciting as possible.

As one of the largest majors on the Ole Miss campus, the j-department sees over 500 students each semester enroll in classes ranging from writing to videography to design. No matter your individual interest in journalism, the j-department offers classes and emphasis tracks that can get you to where you want to go professionally. Whether you desire to have a career in broadcast journalism, print journalism or public relations, the classes and resources of the j-department can help you find your niche and excel in it.

But there is more than classroom time that must be considered when it comes to college, so we have included the information you need to know about the campus and campus life as well. Feel free to explore what being a student of the j-department is like.

Please note: If you wish to receive information or schedule a campus visit, it is simply an e-mail away. Please contact us here at the j-department and we can help you schedule a visit that answers all your questions.
