Preserving the Past for the Future
Joanne Gabrynowicz (center), director of the National Remote Sensing and Space Law Center and research professor of law, accepts the President's Award at the Midwest Archives Conference, April 26, in Kansas City, Mo. The award recognizes the National Satellite Land Remote Sensing Data Archive Advisory Committee, headed by Gabrynowicz, for its work in archiving electronic data for preservation and public access. MAC past president Pat Michaelis (right) presented the award, and John Faundeen (left), archivist of the National Satellite Land Remote Sensing Data Archive, made the nomination.
