Congratulations on your admission to The University of Mississippi School of Law. Welcome to the Ole Miss Law family!

This Web page will guide you through a few steps needed to prepare you for the fall.

 

Step 1

Activate Your WebID

Your WebId is crucial for pretty much everything you need while in school: Financial Aid, Email, etc. So make sure to do this first.

**You will need your Ole Miss student number and your birth date.
The law school admissions office sent you a letter containing your student number.

Step 2

Find Housing
Most of our law students live off campus. Here are several helpful links:

(on-campus housing, very limited for law students)

Step 3

Apply for financial aid

Step 4

Get your Ole Miss Student ID card made
You can do this via mail.

Step 5

DO NOT REGISTER FOR CLASSES
The Law Registrar will register you for your first year classes. Your schedule will be available online during the last week of July.

Step 6

Submit your medical forms to Student Health
You must submit the Medical History and Certificate of Compliance forms before you attend orientation.

Step 7

Mark your calendar
Fall orientation is mandatory for first year law students The dates are August 20-21.

Step 8

Get connected on campus with IT
Find out what your computer needs before you come to law school.

Step 9

Submit your final transcripts
The Law Admissions office needs 2 official copies of your final transcript, showing you received your degree, prior to orientation. Ole Miss grads need only supply one copy of the official final transcript.

Step 10

Parking Registration: You must register your vehicle by the first day of classes (August 25, 2008). The online service to do that is not up yet but will by as of July 15, 2008. Parking Services will send you an email to your olemiss.edu account when the site is active.
