Marc M. Harrold
Counsel for National Programs
National Center for Justice and the Rule of Law and Visiting Professor of Law

Prior to joining the NCJRL in 2002, Mr. Harrold served as an associate with Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz, P.C., practicing primarily in the areas of commercial litigation and immigration law. Mr. Harrold continues to practice before the Immigration Court in Memphis, Tennessee, and the Board of Immigration Appeals in Falls Church, Virginia, on pro bono asylum, refugee and human rights matters.

Mr. Harrold has been published numerous times in law reviews, bar journals magazines and newspapers primarily in the areas of constitutional law, civil rights, First Amendment, identity theft, technology issues and immigration, asylum and refugee litigation. Mr. Harrold is the co-author of MISSISSIPPI CRIMINAL TRIAL PRACTICE (West-Thompson 2004) and author of OBSERVATIONS OF WHITE NOISE AN ‘ACID TEST’ FOR THE FIRST AMENDMENT (iUniverse 2005).

Prior to attending law school, Mr. Harrold served as a police officer and narcotics task force officer with the City of Atlanta Police Department. Mr. Harrold currently serves as a sworn part-time police officer with the Oxford Police Department and continues to train law enforcement officers, agents and deputies throughout North Mississippi.

Mr. Harrold served as an Associate Articles Editor for the MISSISSIPPI LAW JOURNAL and an Articles Editor for the JOURNAL OF NATIONAL SECURITY LAW.
