Law Dean Samuel Davis (left) urged first-year law students to value honesty and integrity as the 2006-07 school year kicked off at the UM School of Law. This year’s incoming class, some of whom are pictured above during the 2006 fall orientation and the James O. Dukes Professionalism Program, come from a variety of undergraduate schools, including William & Mary, Washington & Lee, Notre Dame, Vanderbilt, Emory, the University of Pennsylvania, New York University and the University of Georgia. The class is 58 percent male and 42 percent female, with an average grade-point average of 3.47.
