Applicants selected and participating in the GAANN program are required to...

$bullet$	devote themselves full tim e to doctoral study and maintain satisfactory progress toward the doctoral degree.
$bullet$	complete the requirements for a doctoral degree within the period for which the fellowship is awarded (up to five years).
