The Graduate Program in Mathematics

The University of Mississippi offers three degrees through the Graduate School: Master of Arts, Master of Science, and Doctor of Philosophy. The requirements for each program are listed below.

The Department offers various forms of support to its graduate students. In particular, students interested in pursuing the Ph.D. in Mathematics should visit the GAANN Fellowship page. The regular student stipend, if offered, is 11,000 per academic year and 12,000 after successful completion of the so-called comprehensive examinations.
