Juvenile Justice Symposium

About the Symposium: The Annual Juvenile Justice Symposium is being conducted at the Grand Casino Convention Center in Robinsonville, Mississippi, August 2 - 4, 2006. This is a co-sponsored program by the University of Mississippi, Mississippi Judicial College, UM-Social Work Department in association with the Division of Public Safety Planning and the State Juvenile Justice Advisory Group. This program was developed by the Juvenile Justice Curriculum Planning Committee composed of representatives of the various disciplines whose duties involve working with juveniles.

Registration: Registration will commence at 9:00 a.m, Wednesday, August 2, 2006 in the Grand Convention Center. The symposium registration desks will remain open throughout the duration of the program. The symposium will officially begin on Wednesday, August 2, 2006 at 12:30 p.m.. We urge you to be on time.

Fee: The registration fee to attend this symposium is $40.00 for each person, which must be paid prior to the program.

Meals: All attendees and faculty members are invited to attend the Annual Awards' Luncheon on Thursday, August 3, 2006. Coffee, Soft Drinks and Water will be available throughout the conference. No other items or meals will be provided.

Lodging: Overnight rooms were available at the Veranda Hotel at the rate of $59.00 per night for those that made reservations prior to July 10, 2006. The check-in time is at 4:00 p.m. and check-out time is at 11:00 a.m. Notice: The hotel requires a $50 deposit from all guests upon check-in.

Travel: There will be no funding for travel to/from the symposium for attendees.
