About the Symposium
The Annual Juvenile Justice Symposium is being conducted at Silver Star Convention Center, Pearl River Resort in Choctaw, Mississippi, August 1 - 3, 2007. This is a co-sponsored program by the University of Mississippi, Mississippi Judicial College, UM-Social Work Department in association with the Mississippi Division of Public Safety Planning. This program was developed by the Juvenile Justice Curriculum Planning Committee composed of representatives of the various disciplines whose duties involve working with juveniles.
Who Should Attend?
Judges, Prosecutors, Defense Counsel, Legislators, State, County and Local Executive Branch Officials, Probation Officers, Child Protection Workers, Social Workers, Youth Court Counselors, Law Enforcement, Mental Health, Detention Center Workers, Marriage and Family Therapists, Private Service Providers, Planners, Educators, CASAs, Guardians ad Litem, Juvenile Justice Personnel, School Attendance Officers, and all interested groups and persons
