The German section of the Department of Modern Languages has a faculty of three with specializations in significant areas of German language, literature, and culture. Abundant opportunities exist for students to work closely with German faculty.

The Department maintains an active chapter of Delta Phi Alpha, the national German Honor Society. Membership is based upon intellectual performance.
