The uniting theme of this teaching portfolio is the sociology of education. That is, each page contains elements of sociology -- the empirical study of society, social structures and social behaviors -- be they academic, theoretical or popular. Into this reflective collection of my teaching experiences, I wove my undergraduate training in the discipline of sociology. Use the links above to connect to the progressive sections, starting with inward-looking reflections (an autobiography page, and self-evaluations of classroom management and teaching strategies, for instance) and concluding with outward-looking analyses of school systems and racialized social structures.
