Marta Szlubowska, violin

Sunday, October 14 - University, Miss. The crisp Autumn air will be seasoned with strings and ivory as renowned musical violinist Marta Szlubowska performs a variety of music from Polish composers. Her mother Danuta Szlubowska will accompany on piano.

Her mother Danuta and father Janusz are both professional concert pianists and have played together since 1964. It is the University of Mississippi Department of Music's privilege to invite you to be a part of this special concert in the David H. Nutt Auditorium at 3:00pm.

The concert is free and open to the public. Following the concert, Szlubowska will give a master class for University string students.

Reviews of recent performances:

Her tender, sweet, highest tones were exceptional. She played with strength and vigor throughout the Tchaikovsky Concerto. The cadenza was especially noteworthy for its wide range of expression and nuance, not to mention the technical feats.
