Diane Wang
Diane Wang, a native of the San Francisco Bay area, received degrees from
Indiana University and the University of Texas at Austin, and has pursued
doctoral studies leading to the doctor of musical arts degree at the
University of Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music. Her major piano
teachers were Sidney Foster, Harald Logan, and Béla Siki; she also studied
flute with Gary Gray, former member of the San Francisco Symphony. Miss Wang
has an impressive record of performances as a recitalist and soloist with
orchestra, with performances throughout the United States as well as in China
and Mexico.
As a collaborative pianist she performs regularly with the Sarah
Isom Trio, The UM Faculty
Woodwind Quintet
and the Wang-Rodgers Piano Duo, featured on the
Mississippi Arts Commission's Touring Arts Roster. She is currently
coordinator of the keyboard musicianship curriculum and instructor in piano
and flute at The University of Mississippi.
