Robert H. Aubrey

Robert Aubrey, visiting professor of music education, received his degrees from Oklahoma City University, Indiana University, and the University of Missouri-Columbia. He taught in the public schools for five years and at colleges and universities in Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, Indiana, New York, and now here at the University of Mississippi. Dr. Aubrey conducts both in the choral field and stage works for music. His recent opera conducting projects include Mozart's Magic Flute and Cosi Fan Tutte, Kurt Weill's Street Scene, and all of the major Gilbert and Sullivan productions; in addition, he has recently conducted the musicals Chicago, Cabaret, Godspell, and Man of La Mancha. He is also currently designing and teaching on-line courses in music at the University. Dr. Aubrey is active in the state as a board member of the Mississippi Alliance for Arts Education and of the Music Educator's National Conference.
