Conference Registration
Registering for a course at the Center is dependent on who you are. Many of our courses are for targeted groups: judges; law enforcement; and assistant attorneys general. Members of the general public may attend our annual symposium and the James Otis Lectures. General Public To register to attend the Annual Fourth Amendment symposium or the James Otis Lecture contact ncjrl@olemiss.edu Judicial Courses The Center offers four courses on the Fourth Amendment for members of the judiciary. The appellate courses and the comprehensive trial judge courses are offered in conjunction with the National Judicial College. The computer and digital evidence course for trial judges is offered in conjunction with Mississippi State University’s National Computer Forensics Training Center. All of the courses are grant funded and scholarships for members of the judiciary are available. Please note that the registration, scholarships, and eligibility requirements for each course vary. The Fourth Amendment: Search and Seizure of Computers and Digital Evidence for Appellate Judges This course is offered in Reno, NV and those seeking to register should contact the National Judicial College. This course is funded by the Center under a grant from the Department of Justice. The following scholarships for up to 40 appellate judges to attend are offered: Up to $1000 reimbursement for travel expenses, including transportation, hotel, and dinner expenses. Breakfast and lunch are provided. Free tuition and materials. The Fourth Amendment for Appellate Judges: Foundational Principles and Selected Current Issues This course is offered in Oxford, MS and those seeking to register should contact the National Judicial College. This course is funded by the Center under a grant from the Department of Justice. The following scholarships for up to 40 appellate judges to attend are offered: Up to $1000 reimbursement for travel expenses, including transportation, hotel, and dinner expenses. Breakfast and lunch are provided. Free tuition and materials. The Fourth Amendment: Comprehensive Search and Seizure Training for Trial Judges This course is offered in Oxford, MS and in Reno, NV and those seeking to register should contact the National Judicial College. This course is funded by the Center under a grant from the Department of Justice. The following scholarships for up to 40 trial judges to attend are offered: Up to $500 reimbursement for travel expenses, including transportation, hotel, and dinner expenses. Breakfast and lunch are provided. Free tuition and materials. The Fourth Amendment: Search and Seizure of Computers and Digital Evidence for Trial Judges This course is offered in Oxford, MS and those seeking to register should contact ncjrl@olemiss.edu. This course is funded by a grant by Mississippi State University and offers the following scholarships to 30 trial judges to attend: free tuition and materials; two nights of lodging (3 nights if needed to accomodate air travel); breakfast and lunch for two days and up to $250.00 in travel expenses.

Law Enforcement Courses This course is offered in Oxford, MS and those seeking to register should register at Mississippi State University Forensics Training Center. This course is funded by a grant by Mississippi State University and offers the following scholarships to 30 law enforcement members to attend: free tuition and materials; two nights of lodging; breakfast and lunch for two days; and a modest dinner stipend. Travel expenses are not covered. Attorney General Courses These courses are offered in Oxford, MS and those Assistant Attorneys General seeking to register should contact the National Association of Attorneys General. These courses are funded by the Center under a grant from the Department of Justice. |
