We are currently working with personnel in the WAQA and Mississippi State University. By analyzing the low-frequency and high-frequnecy responses from the sound generation, one can study the behavoir of the catfish.

Using LabVIEW, our research group has designed a program to record data in 4 channels using the National Instruments BNC-2110 and data acquisition PC card. The data is divided into files each 1 hour in length, containing roughly 1 GB of data. After post processing these files, one can further analyze each channel of the catfish sounds in Cool Edit.
