two-time recipient of a NASA South Carolina Space Grant Consortium Graduate Scholar Fellowship and was awarded a National Science Foundation East Asia Summer Institute Fellowship to study in Nagoya, Japan in the summer of 2003 with Prof. Kunihito Koumoto.
Gary joined the RUS group as a Postdoctoral Research Associate in August of 2004 and will be extending the measurement to elevated temperatures. In addition, he will also be performing temperature dependent x-ray measurements in collaboration with Dr. David Mandrus of Oak Ridge National Laboratories.
