Michael McGuire

 Michael McGuire obtained his Masters degree in physics at the University of Mississippi in 2001 performing RUS research under Dr. Keppens at NCPA. He is from Lawrenceburg, TN, and also recieved his undergraduate degree in physics from the University of Mississippi in May, 1999. As an undergraduate he was a member of the Educational Physics Research Group. A member of Phi Kappa Phi and Sigma Pi Sigma, he also received a Taylor Medal from the University, the highest acedemic honor attainable.
Michael is currently working on his Ph.D. in physics at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY. He is working with Prof. Frank DiSalvo on the synthesis and characterization of new materials for thermoelectric applications.
