Research Professor Faculty Positions
The National Center for Physical Acoustics at The University of Mississippi invites applications for several non-tenure track faculty positions at the Research Professor or Assistant Professor level in the University’s Engineering School. Successful candidates shall provide leadership roles in several broad areas of experimental aerospace research involving engine/airframe noise, propulsion, fluid dynamics, advanced non-intrusive instrumentation for flow and structure, aircraft design, structural dynamics, and turbulence control. The candidate is expected to have significant skills in one or more of the above disciplines and support, develop and sustain research efforts of the Center including the mentoring of graduate students.
These positions require an earned Ph’D in either Aerospace, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or Applied Physics. Depending on experience, these positions will be at the rank of Full or Associate Research Professor and require that the candidate be able to obtain a Security Clearance. Salaries will be commensurate with experience so it is necessary that applicants in addition to including a resume with a list of publications also provide a brief summary of past experience and future research interests, and the names of at least three references.
