Job Opportunities

Aeroacoustics refers to the scientific study of noise generation created directly by turbulent fluid motion and by aerodynamic forces interacting with surfaces.

The Aeroacoustics Faculty are appointed to the School of Engineering and conduct research at the Jamie Whitten National Center for Physical Acoustics. Current research interests include:

Compressible Turbulent Mixing
Incompressible Turbulent Mixing
Fluid-Structure Interaction in High Speed Flows
Transverse Jets in Supersonic Flows
Jet Aeroacoustics
Cavity Aeroacoustics
High Speed Flow Field Diagnostics
Computational Fluid Dynamics
Bowles Fluidic Self-Excited Jet Oscillator
