TRANSVERSE JET IN SUPERSONIC FLOW

The following represents numerical work performed to compute the effect of injecting a Mach 1 underexpanded jet into a Mach 3.5 flow field. Two solutions are compared: Reynolds-averaged Navier Stokes (RANS) and Large Eddy Simulation (LES).
Lateral Jet simulation:
M_inf= 3.5
U_inf= 652.5 m/s
T_inf= 86.5 K
P_inf= 3145 Pa
Rho_inf= 0.12612 kg/m^3
Re/cm = 133162.4
M_jet= 1
T_jet= 298 K
P_jet= 63.5 P_inf = 199707.5 Pa
