Description

The purpose of this two-hour live and interactive teleconference is to discuss cooperative purchasing procedures for Child Nutrition Programs. This program will feature Marlene Gunn, R.D., author of First Choice, A Purchasing Systems Manual for School Food Service, and a panel including several child nutrition directors representing various purchasing cooperatives. Panelists will participate in the studio and from around the country via distance learning technology.

Participants in this teleconference will have an opportunity to lean about:

  • identifying different types of purchasing cooperatives,
  • forming a cooperative purchasing system,
  • managing purchasing cooperatives, and
  • maintaining communications within a purchasing cooperative.
