Elements of Effective Financial Management will focus on how food service directors manage financial data. Panelists will identify critical indicators for determining the effectiveness of both large and small school food service programs. Topics to be discussed include:

  • Financial tools used to administer Child Nutrition Programs
  • Discussion of district comparisons and contrasts of specific financial data
  • NFSMI's plan for financial management education

Panel discussion

  • Panelists will include food service directors and NFSMI staff.
  • Highlight principles of financial management of Child Nutrition Programs in both small and large school districts.

Satellite Facilitator Sourcebook This resource for the satellite facilitator contains general information that does not change from one program to another. It includes duties of the facilitator, choosing a viewing site, and backup plans. New facilitators should review this sourcebook.
