Program Description

When a disruption occurs in the foodservice operation, an emergency readiness plan can ensure the health and safety of customers and employees. This teleconference encourages foodservice professionals to develop an action plan before a disaster strikes.

At the completion of this teleconference participants will be able to:

  • Recognize possible disruptions that may hinder a foodservice operation.
  • Identify six important steps to consider when developing an emergency readiness plan.
  • Develop a written emergency readiness plan.

Satellite Facilitator Sourcebook This resource for the satellite facilitator contains general information that does not change from one program to another. It includes duties of the facilitator, choosing a viewing site, and backup plans. New facilitators should review this sourcebook.
Attendance Roster The roster should be completed and returned to the state satellite coordinator or the ASFSA state certification processor following the satellite program training session.
Rebroadcast/Duplication Request Form This form is rarely needed. No permission is required for taping a single copy for later use.
