Program Description

The Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) helps to fill the hunger gap by providing meals to millions of children each day when school is not in session. The information presented during this teleconference will help you learn how to start a new SFSP or enhance an existing program. Learn more about: roles and responsibilities, budgetary concerns, marketing ideas, and mentoring. Join NFSMI and a panel of experts in a discussion of the SFSP.

Satellite Facilitator Sourcebook This resource for the satellite facilitator contains general information that does not change from one program to another. It includes duties of the facilitator, choosing a viewing site, and backup plans. New facilitators should review this sourcebook.

Attendance Roster The roster should be completed and returned to the state satellite coordinator or the ASFSA state certification processor following the satellite program training session.

Rebroadcast/Duplication Request Form This form is rarely needed. No permission is required for taping a single copy for later use.
