Bonnie A. Avery, Ph.D.

Bonnie A. Avery, an assistant professor of pharmaceutics and an assistant research professor of the research institute of pharmaceutical sciences, received her B. S in medical technology (1982) and her B. A. in Chemistry (1990) from Minot State University. She received her Ph. D. degree in Analytical Chemistry (1994) from the University of North Dakota and joined the faculty at the University of Mississippi in the Spring of 1995.
Dr. Avery's research interests include the application of near infrared spectroscopy in pharmaceutics, design and development of fiber-optic immunosensors, development of new and novel detection methods, and the partitioning of antimalarial drugs into red blood cells.
