Unlike other Departments of Pharmacy Administration, The University of Mississippi offers unique undergraduate degree options for pharmacy students
and business students.
For Pharmacy Students
In addition to its support of the professional degree program, the department offers a concentration area in Pharmaceutical
Marketing and Management for pharmacy students. These students complete the same courses as all pharmacy students through the first professional year (P3). At
that time, the students elect the concentration area and select from one of four options in pharmaceutical marketing or management.
NOTE: Changes in the School of Pharmacy Early-entry curriculum and School
of Pharmacy curricular revision have resulted in the termination of this program
immediately following the Spring semester 2009.
For Business Students
Since 2001, students enrolled in the School of Business Administration and who are interested in careers in the pharmaceutical industry can pursue a Minor in Pharmacy Administration (Pharmaceutical Marketing
and Management. This 16 credit hour offering is unlike any other in that its courses are taught by faculty within a School of Pharmacy.
NOTE: This program will cease to be available effective May 2008.
Students MUST have all requirements completed prior to this date to receive this
designation upon graduation.
