Marc Slattery - Associate Professor of Pharmacognosy and Research Associate Professor, Research Institute Of Pharmaceutical Sciences.

Dr. Slattery received his B.S. degree in biology from Loyola Marymount University in 1981. He completed his M.A. in Marine Biology from San Jose State University at the Moss Landing Marine Laboratories in 1987 and worked for the next two years as a project manager in the Aquatic Toxicology division of EA Engineering, Science, & Technology (Lafayette, CA). In 1994 he received his Ph.D. in Biology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham for chemical ecology research conducted in Antarctica. Dr. Slattery was awarded an NSF Marine Biotechnology Fellowship in 1994 to continue his research on the tropical Pacific reef systems a the University of Guam. He was appointed Assistant Professor of Pharmacognosy and Research Assistant Professor of RIPS at The University of Mississippi in 1995.
