| Program of Study
The choice of a graduate advisor is to be made within the first year of enrollment. Students are encouraged to make this mutually agreeable selection as soon as they have chosen the research area in which they wish to pursue their thesis or dissertation research. This decision is to be communicated in writing to the Department Chair at that time.
The student’s formal course of study should be prepared with the guidance of the graduate advisor and approved by the Department Chair. A student may change advisors at any time during the program if his or her research interests change, or for personal reasons.
