Peptide Radioiodination
Service Center
Now accepting VISA and MasterCard
The Peptide Radioiodination Service Center operates within the realm of The University of Mississippi's research and service missions.
To support the operations of this Service Center, users are charged a fee based on the cost of preparing the radioligand.
Fee for Radioligands1
Radioligand (0.2 mCi or less) ______ $450
Radioligand (0.5 mCi) ___________ $600
Radioligand (1 mCi) ______________ $900
Radioligand (2 mCi) ______________ $1,200
There is an additional charge of $75 for shipping, which provides overnight delivery on dry ice throughout the United States.
For peptides containing greater than 10 amino acids, have amino acid residues that are unstable in the presence of oxidizing and reducing agents, or that do not have tyrosine residues, costs are higher and are determined on an individual basis. For custom radioiodinations of user supplied ligands costs may be higher and will be determined on an individual basis.
Contract Autoradiography Service
Fees start at $100.00/brain. This includes radiolabeling of tissue sections and quantitative densitometric measurements of radioligand binding to specific brain regions. Autoradiographic analyses of other tissues can also be done. Fees are based on reagent costs as well as anticipated time expenditures for any additional services, e.g., analysis of densitometric data, preparation of figures, and tissue sectioning.
1Radioligand containing 10 amino acids or less and can be radioiodinated by a simple chloramine T reaction.
